1. Select one or two strands of hair. Hold this hair vertically away from the head. (Photo1).


2. Method 1 - Make a loop with a single strand of Tinsel Hair. Pull the hair through the loop, and pull both ends of the tinsel so it makes a loose knot which grips the hair.

   

   Method 2 – take a strand of Tinsel and loop it around the stands of hair, then tie a knot.


3. Slide this knot to the base of the hair close to the scalp.
4. Take both ends of the Tinsel and make another knot around the hair, making sure the first knot stays close to the scalp. Pull tight.
5. Let the hair fall and smooth into place, and trim the end of the Tinsel to the length of the hair. Then trim the shorter piece of Tinsel close to the knot.

Practice makes perfect – and there is more than one way to tie the Tinsel so experiment to find the way that suits you the best!
